Gardening time

Who plants a garden… or at least tries to? This is the first year in a very long time I can plant one and give it a good shot. I have the sun, soil, and fertilizer all ready.

My first problem is that I have no experience and the answers online can be confusing. There is so much out there to think about and to use.

My second problem is that I want to plant it all! There are so many seeds and my girls (minus one) loved to eat veggies and fruit. Especially straight out of the garden.

The third problem is that I have to make sure I keep up with it. I have to make sure that I have time everyday devoted to gardening and making sure they are doing well. I might even sing to them to encourage them to grow. On the second though they might die to avoid my voice haha

My solution is to cut the garden into 4 squares. I want to plant it in a way to rotate it every year. I think this will be the best way to make the soil last the longest. It is important to replace the nutrients as well or the soil will not be good after a few rotations. I hope I get a good crop this year. Wish me luck.

  1. Good luck with your gardening adventure. From experience, I might suggest keeping it simple so you don’t burn out, utilizing mulch to keep plants from drying out quickly, and coming up with an effective watering plan. That first tomato sandwich will taste so good. 🙂
